Barbara Charone
Barbara grew up in Chicago on a steady diet of Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. She wrote a high school column and then starting freelancing for Chicago Sun Times. She freelanced for NME while at University as Chicago correspondent. She moved to UK after graduating and joined Sounds. She also freelanced for Rolling Stone, ((Creem and Crawdaddy in the golden mid -seventies. She quit when punk started to happen (no correlation) to write an authorisedbiography on Keith Richards (Life As A Rolling Stone) that came out end of 70's /early 80's in UK,US, Germany and Japan. Barbara joined Warners UK writing press releases in early 80's and eventually started to do press running their press office for 8 years. She left in 2000 to set up MBC PR with Moira Bellas. Clients include Madonna, Primal Scream, REM and Rufus Wainwright. She has supported Chelsea religiously since 1979.
